Bayou Airgun Club – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The Bayou Airgun Club was established in 1989 with the intention to sponsor a safe place to shoot air guns, promote the sport through hosting local and nationally recognized events, provide instruction and education to anyone who is interested, and to enjoy camaraderie amongst fellow shooters. We steward the responsibility of shooting at the Jean Lafitte Airgun Range on behalf of BREC, the Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Commission, and our range is one of the longest running air gun ranges in the country. Our club is a member of the American Airgun Field Target Association and the NRA and we are fully insured through the NRA.

The BAC hosts regional field target matches such as The Cajun Classic every year, and holds club Field Target matches every month. We have also been the sponsors of the Air Rifle Silhouette National Championship for the past 4 years, and hold monthly club matches in silhouette as well. We’ve recently added air pistol matches every month in Olympic 10 Meter and Silhouette. For dates and times of all events please visit the Calendar page.

The range is located at the Baton Rouge State Fairgrounds, 17200 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. It is one mile South of the corner of Airline Highway and Highland Road, and tucked into the far back right-hand corner in a secured fenced-in area.
